Many thanks to Cliff Yeo and the Esplanade for the above photo of us at Baybeats

NEW VIDEO: HOW COULD YOU? (performed at Baybeats 2012)

People can be so cold, you should know
Why can't you be alone, be alone
Didn't you say you'll try, to make it right, to make it right
Look what've done since then, to make it worse, to make it worse

People will try to know, they'll figure it out, they'll figure it out
Why did you have to go let it out, let it out

How could you mess it up
How could you be so blind
How could you go where you didn't wanna go

You should be so ashamed
You should be in control
How could you go where you didn't wanna go

You're someone else that you don't know
You're someone else that you don't know again

People can be so cold, you should know, you should know

NEW VIDEO: LEMONADE (performed at Pink Dot 2012)

It's like a roller coaster that will never end
But don't you ever feel like giving up again
Just look around and you'll find, you're never quite alone
So do yourself a favour, and make it worth your time again

It's easy when you live your life in black and white
But how can things turn out the way you want them to

But I don't believe that you're down and out when
There's something in your eyes that spells defiance
So come on, imagine, let's make it happen
Cos we can do it right away

Don't you know that there will be a silver lining
You don't have to scream aloud
Going up and down with what you're holding on to
Everything will pass you by

So lemons are all that you've got to start your day with
Well start making lemonade
Nothing takes away the past just like the future
So make it, or break it
As long as you're alive

You'll falter, you'll wonder, how this is gonna go
They'll find you, they'll drag you, where you don't wanna go

But in time, in no time, you'll see a ray of light
That's all you need, to be alright

Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh...

NEW VIDEO: WAITING FOR SUNDAY + BORN THIS WAY COVER (performed at Pink Dot 2012)

At this year's Pink Dot Concert, we supported the freedom to love by performing 'Waiting For Someday' and a simple cover of Lady Gaga's 'Born This Way'.

There was love in the air that evening, and we were really honoured to be part of such a meaningful event.

Thank you Pink Dot, and keep fighting the good fight.

No one ever told you
it's gonna be so hard
it's gonna be so hard
Waiting for Someday

NEW SONG & VIDEO: SNOWFLAKES (performed at Baybeats 2012)

Presenting the video for our first performance of 'Snowflakes', a new song we unveiled at Baybeats 2012.

Many thanks to Weetz, Andrea and Jonathan for putting the video together, and for working so hard to get the best audio quality possible.

'Snowflakes' is sonically a departure from the in-your-face anthems which many of you may know us for. We started writing it about two months before Baybeats, and were very thilled to perform it alongside 'How Could You?' last Friday.

It's been a very rewarding and fascinating experience to realize that our sound has evolved, and we can't wait to eventually record and release these new songs.

Thank you for being such a great audience at Baybeats, and if you weren't there, we sincerely hope you like what you hear in the video above.

Snowflakes

We don't look the same, we don't sound the same
Please don't find someone else to blame
All across the universe, we're losing our innocence
We don't look the same, we don't sound the same

There's a million ways of wondering
Why we're here, and why they're not
Look into the crystal ball, can you see how we may fall
We don't look the same, we don't sound the same

Ooo...how much do you care
Ooo...snowflakes everywhere
Mmm...voices in the air
Mmm...I don't understand

Well, this is who we are
Have we really come so far
Oh~

Well, this is who we are
Have we really come so far
Oh~

NEW! Official music video for 'Stranger'

The wait is over! Here's our new music video for 'Stranger', track 5 of our debut album 'Waiting For Friday'!

'Stranger' is an atmospheric rock ballad that explores the missing connections between urbanites, and is one of the first original compositions we wrote.

Shot in Singapore, the music video for the song is produced and directed by up-and-coming talents Charmaine Lam, Elaine Ang and WenJian Teo.

When we released 'Waiting For Friday' in March this year, 'Stranger' was singled out by many of you as a standout track. So we're really excited to release a music video for the song, and are thankful to our friend Alex for introducing the song to Charmaine, Elaine and WenJian.

We've sold more than 500 copies of our album so far, so this music video is dedicated to everyone who has shown support for our music in one way or another. We hope you like what you see, and if you do, please share the video on Facebook or Twitter =)

This is the 3rd music video we've released for the album, but we plan to put out at least one more video within the next few months!

For more information about the music video's directors, visit:

We're on Life!

We're proud to be on the cover of today's Life! newspaper, along with new acts who are performing for this year's Baybeats, namely The Rejeks and Seyra!

We can't get our hands on an online version of the accompanying article, but here's the portion where we're mentioned:

"Some local bands who performed at Baybeats in previous years, like indie rockers King Kong Jane, have gone on to launch full-length albums and even tour overseas."

Rockin' in the Free World

We’ve always been proud to part of the Singapore music scene, even though it’s not easy to be an indie band here. Over the past 6 years, we've tried our best to stay true to ourselves as individuals and musicians.

Knowing that there are some of you out there who enjoy our gigs and albums has been a rewarding bonus. But we don’t need any specific individuals or gigs to validate our achievements and contributions, and will continue rockin’ in the free world.

Performing in Jakarta

On 25th April, we got a call from the National Arts Council that really made our day.

Less than a week later, we found ourselves on a plane to Jakarta, where we eventually performed for the inaugural ASEAN Youth-Cultural Exchange Festival. (more about the festival HERE)

It's always been one of our dreams to perform overseas, so being selected to represent Singapore at such a prestigious festival was really exciting for us as a band. In all, we spent 3 days and 2 nights in Ancol, Jakarta, where we...

- were treated like rock stars (there were police cars leading the way for our bus!)

- rubbed shoulders with Indonesian diplomats (meals with governors and ministers!)

- made friends with regional bands (such as the talented boys from Indonesian band Meet Me By Sunrise)

- performed 'Waiting For Friday', 'If It Wasn't For You' and our cover of Rihanna's 'Umbrella'

And of course we took some photos along the way:

Esplanade presents In The House: King Kong Jane

Hours before performing for the Mosaic Music Festival, we were interviewed in the Esplanade Library for In The House, a series of intimate sessions that allows musicians like us to share more about what we do.

Here are 3 videos of the entire interview, where we shared our thoughts about making our debut album, growing as a band, our musical influences, the pros and cons of being indie & more...

We also did a stripped down version of 'If It Wasn't For You' right in the Library:
